What Listing ID does

Starting with WPResidence 5.3.0, a new field called Listing ID is available for properties.

The Listing ID is a custom identifier that can be added to each property. When this field is filled in, it can replace the default Property ID shown by the theme.

This is useful if you want to use your own internal property reference, an agency listing code, or the original MLS Listing ID.

In this video you’ll learn how to manage the Property Listing ID field in WPResidence, starting with version 5.3.0. Watch Video on Youtube

Add or edit Listing ID from wp-admin

You can add or edit the Listing ID from the property edit page in wp-admin.

Go to:

Wp-admin > Properties > Edit Property > Property Details > Listing ID

Add or edit Listing ID from the front-end submission form

Users can also add or edit the Listing ID from the front-end submission form, if the field is enabled.

To enable the field, go to:

Theme Options > Submission & Membership > Property Submission Page

Make sure the Listing ID field is selected for the front-end submission form.

Use Listing ID in property search

The Listing ID field can be used in property search forms.

It can be added to:

  • the theme search form from Theme Options
  • custom Elementor search forms

When adding Listing ID as a search field, use the LIKE comparison operator.

Show Listing ID in property cards

You can display the Listing ID in property cards using the Property Card Composer.

Add the Listing ID field in the card details section.

Show Listing ID on the property page

The Listing ID can also be displayed on the single property page as part of the property details.

You can show it in the property overview/details area, depending on the property page layout and fields selected for display.

Search by Listing ID in wp-admin

You can search properties by Listing ID directly in the WordPress admin area.

This helps admins find a property faster when they know the internal listing reference, agency code, or MLS Listing ID.

Import Listing ID

If you import properties from an MLS with MLSImport.com, you can keep the original listing identifier by mapping it to the WPResidence Listing ID field.

The field key used for import is:

property_internal_id

You can map this field when importing with:

  • WP All Import
  • Other import plugins
  • WPResidence API
  • MLSImport
Important:
If you use MLSImport, map the MLS Listing ID or Listing Key to property_internal_id if you want the MLS identifier to show as the WPResidence Listing ID.
