To add a button or element that opens the login or register modal in Elementor, follow these steps.
- Edit the page with Elementor.
- Add a Button, or select any Elementor element you want to use as the trigger.
- If you use a Button widget, open the button settings and add one of the required IDs in the Button ID field.
- If you use another Elementor element, open the Advanced tab and add the required ID in the CSS ID field.
- Save the page and test the trigger on the front end.
IDs for login and register modal
Use one of these IDs depending on what modal you want to open:
- wpresidence_elementor_login = opens the login modal
- wpresidence_elementor_register = opens the register modal
Using a Button widget
If you use an Elementor Button widget, add the modal trigger in the Button ID field.
Using any other Elementor element
If you want to use another Elementor element, such as text, heading, icon, or image, open the Advanced tab and add the same value in the CSS ID field.
Note: Use wpresidence_elementor_login and wpresidence_elementor_register for WPResidence. The older wprentals_ IDs are for WpRentals, not WPResidence.
How it works
Once the correct ID is added, clicking that button or Elementor element will trigger the theme login or register popup modal on the front end.
This is useful if you want to place custom login or register triggers in:
- homepage hero sections
- custom headers
- call to action sections
- pricing or membership pages
- custom Elementor layouts
