How to get your license code

To find your WPResidence license code:


  • Find your WPResidence purchase and select
    License Certificate and Purchase Code

  • Open the downloaded text file and copy the buyer code (purchase code).

Note: You will also need your Envato (ThemeForest) username when registering the license.

How to register your license code

Step 1: Install the theme and required plugins

Install the theme and the WPResidence Core Functionality plugin.

Step 2: Activate WPResidence Core Functionality

Step 3: Open the license panel

Refresh the page, then go to the WPResidence License section.

Step 4: Register the license

Fill in the form with your ThemeForest buyer username and license code, then click Register License.

If successful, you will see the message:
You have successfully registered.

License code is already registered for another domain

If you try to register the same license on multiple domains, you will see this message:
License code is already registered for other domain.

Why this happens

This means the license is already active on another website. Common situations include:

  • The license was used on a staging/test domain
  • The site was reinstalled without de-registering first
  • A developer activated the license on a different domain
  • The original website is no longer accessible

How to fix (if you have access to the original site)

To re-use the license on a different domain:

  1. Log in to the WordPress admin of the domain where the license is currently active
  2. Go to WpResidence License
  3. Click De-register License
  4. After you see the “successfully revoked” message, return to the new domain and register again


Important:
If you do not know where the license is registered, or you no longer have access to the original domain, you will not be able to de-register it yourself.In this case, please contact support so we can help verify where the license is active and assist with the release.

How to de-register your license code

Important: Always de-register your license before deleting a website or moving to a new domain.

Steps:

  1. Log in to the domain where you first activated the license
  2. Go to wp-admin → WpResidence License
  3. Click the De-register License button

You will see the message:
Your license was successfully revoked

After this step, you can re-use the license information on any other domain you wish.

Register in client support with your buyer license code

Your license code and Envato buyer username are also required to register a support account in our support system:

If you cannot register the license because it is already used and you don’t know where:
