Plugin Licensing and Updates
Revolution Slider is included with WPResidence as a bundled premium plugin.
You do not need to activate Revolution Slider with your own personal license key in order to use it on your site.
WPResidence holds an extended license for bundled plugins, which allows us to provide plugin updates through theme updates and through the plugin package we maintain for WPResidence clients. This means:
- There is one bundled plugin license connected to the theme package.
- Clients do not receive a separate personal Revolution Slider license key from WPResidence.
- The bundled license allows the plugin to work on your website without separate activation.
- When a new bundled plugin version is available, we include it inside the latest WPResidence theme update package.
- When needed, we may also provide a direct download link for the latest bundled SR6 version.
- The bundled Revolution Slider version provided with WPResidence is the legacy SR6 version.
The latest bundled SR6 package for WPResidence clients is available here:
https://plugins.wpestate.org/sliderrevolution6-wordpress.zip
Before updating Revolution Slider, we recommend making a full website backup.
If you experience issues with bundled plugins or need help updating them, please open a ticket in our private support system: https://care.wpestate.org/
Important Update About Slider Revolution 7 (SR7)
ThemePunch, the authors of Revolution Slider, released Slider Revolution 7 as a separate major version.
WPResidence includes the legacy Slider Revolution 6 plugin, also referred to as SR6. The bundled license available with WPResidence applies to the SR6 legacy version, not to Slider Revolution 7.
Slider Revolution 7 is a separate major release from ThemePunch and is not included with the WPResidence bundled plugin package.
What this means for WPResidence clients:
- Your current Slider Revolution 6 plugin keeps working on your website.
- WPResidence can provide updates for the bundled SR6 plugin version.
- WPResidence cannot provide a Slider Revolution 7 package because SR7 is not part of the bundled plugin license included with the theme.
- There is no Slider Revolution 7 package included with WPResidence, and there never was one.
- If you want to upgrade to SR7, you must purchase or activate a separate plan directly with ThemePunch.
- SR6 continues to work and, according to ThemePunch, will continue receiving critical security and severe bug fixes through at least March 2028.
ThemePunch explains the SR7 upgrade here:

Security Notice: SR6, SR7 and Vulnerability Scanner Reports
Some security scanners may report Revolution Slider vulnerabilities using a general version title, and this can be confusing now that ThemePunch has both the SR6 legacy branch and the SR7 branch.
For example, Wordfence published an advisory for:
Slider Revolution <= 7.0.9 – Unauthenticated Sensitive Information Exposure via sliders/stream
The advisory lists the affected versions as:
- SR6 versions from 6.0 to 6.7.54
- SR7 versions from 7.0 to 7.0.9
The same advisory lists the patched versions as:
- 6.7.55 for the SR6 branch
- 7.0.10 for the SR7 branch
For WPResidence clients, the correct action is to update to the latest available bundled SR6 version.
The current bundled SR6 version available for WPResidence clients is 6.7.56, which is newer than the patched SR6 version mentioned in the Wordfence advisory.
You can download the latest bundled SR6 package here:
https://plugins.wpestate.org/sliderrevolution6-wordpress.zip
Please note:
- WPResidence does not include Slider Revolution 7.
- WPResidence cannot provide SR7 as a bundled plugin update.
- SR7 requires a separate license or subscription directly from ThemePunch.
- If a security scanner is only checking for a 7.x version number, it may continue to show a warning even after the SR6 branch is updated.
- In that case, please ask the scanner provider or hosting security team to verify the installed SR6 version and confirm whether the specific vulnerability applies to that patched SR6 release.
We report unclear or incorrect version-detection messages to the Revolution Slider team when needed, but WPResidence cannot control how third-party scanners read or display plugin version warnings.
About Revolution Slider Premium Features
Revolution Slider may ask for a separate license to access some ThemePunch premium services, such as their template library, premium assets, cloud features, or direct plugin support.
The WPResidence bundled license covers the plugin package included with the theme. It does not include every separate premium cloud feature or subscription-based service offered directly by ThemePunch.
This is normal behavior for bundled premium plugins sold with WordPress themes.
How to Import Demo Sliders
Demo sliders are not automatically imported with the demo content. If you wish to use a specific demo slider, you can import it manually:
- Go to Revolution Slider in your WordPress dashboard.
- Use the Import Slider option.
- Demo sliders are located in the 4.demo_content/revolution sliders folder.
- To access this folder, download the All files and documentation package from your ThemeForest buyer account and unzip it.
Use the Import option from Revolution Slider:

5. Add the Search Form Builder
