Option A – Global settings (Theme Options):
- Go to Theme Options > Search > Advanced Search Display.
- Set Use Float Search Form to YES.
- Adjust Distance between search form and the top margin of the browser using values such as 200px or 20%. This setting controls the vertical position of the floating search form.
- When the float option is enabled, the search form is displayed over the header media. This is expected behavior.
Option B – Per page override (Appearance Options):
If the issue affects only a specific page (for example a Properties or Listings page), edit that page and use Appearance Options > Advanced Search to override the search display and float position for that page only.
This allows you to keep the global defaults while correcting the layout on a single page.
Cache note (important):
If the theme cache is enabled, clear the WpResidence cache after adjusting the float distance so the changes are applied immediately. WPResidence uses cached data (transients) for performance, and clearing the cache prevents outdated layout settings from being displayed.
