Can I create private off-market listings?
WPResidence does not include a dedicated private off-market listing system where a published property is fully hidden from all public feeds and shared only with selected buyers.
If a property is published, it will still have a public property URL. Because of this, a published property should not be treated as a fully private or secure listing.
Important note about published properties
A published property can still be accessible if someone has the direct URL.
This means the theme cannot guarantee full privacy for published off-market listings by default. If the seller does not want the property details visible online, do not publish the full listing details publicly.
Workaround: Create a Private or Off Market status
You can create a separate property status to organize these listings.
Go to:
wp-admin → Properties → Categories → Status
Create a new status, for example:
- Private
- Off Market
- Available Privately
Then assign this status to the off-market properties.
This helps you separate these listings from the normal public listings and manage them more easily inside the theme.
Workaround: Use a custom property template
For off-market listings, you can create a custom property template with Elementor and show only limited information.
For example, instead of showing the full property details, photos, price, and address, the template can show a simple message such as:
This property is available privately. Please contact us for details.
This way, even if someone opens the direct property URL, they will not see the full listing details.

When custom development is needed
The solution above is only a workaround. It is not the same as a secure private listing system with buyer-only access.
If you need listings to be visible only to selected users, buyers, or members, you would need custom development or a private/membership access solution.
A custom solution could include restricted property access, login-based visibility, buyer-only pages, or private sharing rules.
